The vice chancellor of Sudan University of Science and Technology, Prof. Awad Saad Hassan, received at his office the Regional Director of the Francophone University Agency (AUF), Middle East Office, Mr. Jean-Noël Baléo and Ms. Meggie Rias, Acting Project Officer of the agency, and Ms. Lydia Boudriche, Cooperation Attaché at the French Embassy in Khartoum. The meeting was attended by Prof. Mahdi Abbas Saad Shakak, deputy vice chancellor of the University, Dr. Siham Elmusbah Omer Malik, Dean of the College of Education at the university, and Dr. Huda Osman Abdallah, Director of Public Relations and Media.
The meeting dealt with the previous projects of the Agency in Sudan in general and the University of Sudan in particular, represented in the establishment of a training course for the deans of the colleges of Sudan University and for students of the College of Education in the field of mediation as a tool for conflict management, in addition to the training course in preparing a reference for teaching French for teachers of the French language in the faculties of education in the universities of Sudan, Khartoum, Gezira, Nyala and Dilling.
Also, Dr. Siham Elmusbah announced that there is an e-learning workshop for the deans of the university's faculties that will be held this September, explaining that it was preceded by a course in the same field last May.
In conclusion, Prof. Awad Saad Hassan, thanked the Regional Director of AUF, Middle East Office and the accompanying delegation for the visit, stressing the continuation and development of cooperation between the university and the agency in the interest of both parties.
