11th of May Shootings: Our Deepest Sympathy and Prayers for the Shocking Loss of the Son of a Colleague

Our sincere condolences and deepest sympathy and support for the shocking loss of Mudathir Mukhtar Alshafea, the son of Mrs Mariam AbdalRahman AbdAllah, the staff member in the Institute of Studies and Culture of Peace. Our heartfelt sympathy to his family during this devastating experience, as beloved Mudathir lost his soul due to the shocking and extremely ugly act of killing, as he got shot on Tuesday the 11th of May, when Sudanese protesters were peacefully marking the second anniversary of the 2019 sit-up raid.

These are very unfortunate events and we extend our heartfelt sympathy and prayers to his family and friends, and to the staff at the Institute for Peace Studies and Culture at the University. May Allah accept him with his immense mercifulness and grant him the highest rank in paradise, and to inspire his family and strengthen them with patience. Please keep him and his family in your prayers as they go through this difficult time.
