Prof Awad Saad Hassan, vice chancellor of the university,  accompanied by Mr. AbdelHalim Mohamed AbdelHalim, the secretary general and media and external relations secretary, for the steering committee of the university teachers union,  paid a visit to offer condolences to Mrs Mariam AbdalRahman AbdAllah, the staff member in the Institute of Studies and Culture of Peace, who lost her son during the shocking events of shootings in the 11th of May, when Sudanese protesters were peacefully marking the second anniversary of the 2019 sit-up raid.
