Deputy Vice Chancellor of SUST Receives Malaysian Delegation

Prof. Abdelazim Suleiman Al-Mahal, deputy vice chancellor of Sudan University of Science and Technology (SUST), received a delegation from the Malaysian Embassy, led by the wife of the Malaysian Ambassador, to visit the College of Fine and Applied Arts at SUST. The delegation was met by Dr. Mariam Abbas, Director of External Relations at SUST, academic staff of the College of Fine and Applied Arts and students.

Prof. Al-Mahal expressed his happiness with the visit and stressed that it comes within the framework of strengthening and consolidating Sudanese-Malaysian relations and developing coordination, noting that it aims to strengthen aspects of cooperation and exchange in the cultural and social fields, and it comes within the celebrations of the Malaysian Embassy in Khartoum on the Malaysian National Day.

He said, “The university has distinguished partnerships with the Malaysian embassy in terms of academic and cognitive aspects as well as the cultural and social, and the deadlines". He also indicated that Sudan and Malaysia are similar in many customs, traditions and cultures, and the visit represents an opportunity for students of the College of Arts to benefit from the experiences of Malaysian professors in the field of drawing and coloring.

The visit schedule included an introductory tour inside the Western Campus, a Malaysian folk dance with the participation of students, and an accompanying exhibition hosted by the College of Fine and Applied Arts, amid the students' interaction and harmony.
