SUST Signs a Memorandum of Understanding with the British Council

Sudan University of Science and Technology (SUST) signed a memorandum of understanding with the British Council, where Prof. Eisa Bashier Mohamed, Vice Chancellor of the University, represented SUST and Mr. Stephen Forbes, Country Director at British Council, signed on behalf of the British Council.

From the University's side, the meeting included Prof. Abdel-Azim Suleiman Al-Mahal, deputy Vice Chancellor of the University and Dr. Awadallah Tayfour Ali, principal of the University, and Prof. Mustafa Al-Jak Director of the Sudan Center for Self-Employment and Entrepreneurship.

Prof. Eisa Bashier Mohamed, vice chancellor of SUST, welcomed the Country Director of the British Council in Sudan and his accompanying delegation, and praised the necessity of cooperating with the British Council in disseminating the various cultures, activities and events of the Council such as training, teaching English and exchanging projects in addition to the field of the leadership program Community work through the Entrepreneurship Center at SUST.

Mr. Stephen Forbes, Country Director of the British Council, presented an overview of the establishment of the British Council in Sudan and its great role in teaching English in the country and its various activities in spreading cultures, praising the Council's cooperation with the University of Sudan in the upcoming activities.

Finally, Prof. Bashier thanked the Council for their initiative to establish partnerships with SUST and fruitful cooperation in future educational, cultural and community activities.

Dr. Mariam Abbas, Director of External Relations, gave a detailed presentation on the University, its stages of development, its inclusion of 25 colleges, its inclusion of more than 60000 students at various levels of undergraduate and postgraduate.
