The Laser Institute at Sudan University of Science and Technology was approved as a center of excellence for 2021 by the General Administration of Research and Innovation at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, through the recommendation of the Research Centers of Excellence Committee in its meeting No. (7) on 5/9/2021.
It should be noted that the committee had paid a visit to the institute and stood on the capabilities and activities of the institute and its role in serving specialists in the fields of laser applications, engineering, medical and others at the levels of graduate studies, small courses and community service documented and not to forget that it is considered the only laser institute among Sudanese universities.
