A Reflective Meeting between the UN Technology Bank for the Least Developed Countries and Sudan University

Today, in the main campus, Prof Awad Saad Hassan, vice chancellor of Sudan University of Science and Technology, met with Mr. Joshua Setipa, Managing Director of the UN Technology Bank for the Least Developed Countries and his accompanying delegation.

From the university side, the meeting included Prof Mahdi Abbas Shakak, deputy vice chancellor of the University, Dr. Eltahir Abualgassim Mohamed Elshiekh, Dean of the College of Engineering, and Prof. Amal Ibrahim, Director of the UNESCO-ISESCO Chair for Women in Science and Technology, Dr. Mariam Abbas Ibrahim Abdelghafour, Director of External Relations, and Dr. Ebtihal Haider Gismalla Yousif, Director of the E-Learning Administration at the university. The meeting aim to discuss aspects and ways of cooperation with regard to creative and development programs that can be used in science and technology.

Prof. Awad Saad welcomed the guests and reviewed the scientific and the technological capabilities of the university and introduced the academic programs. He also discussed with the delegation how to support joint cooperation, calling for more communication with the bank to serve the interest of the university and progress in the scientific and technological aspect. At the end of meeting, Prof Awad Saad presented valuable memorial gifts from the products of the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts at the university.
