In a Festive Atmosphere, Sudan University Honors its Kandakes for Their Scientific and Research Excellence

In the presence of Prof. Awad Saad Hassan, vice chancellor of Sudan University of Science and Technology, Prof. Mahdi Abbas Shakak, deputy vice chancellor of the University and the Deans of Faculties, and during the periodic meeting of the Deans’ Council, the University, represented by the Secretariat of Scientific Affairs, honored the

  • Prof. Amal Omar Bakheet , Dean of Scientific Research, for obtaining the first rank at the university level as one of the distinguished scientists and researchers Internationally in AD scientific lndex classification of scientists;
  • Dr. Ebtihal Haidar Gismalla Yousif , director of SUST Web Administration and director of the E-Learning Administration, who was being honored for Sudan university’s ranking first in the country, in Webometrics Ranking of World Universities, where the university has progressed globally and at the regional level. Dr. Ebtihal was appreciated for her obvious efforts in managing SUST websites and the clear diligence Which led to the great progress of the university in the world rankings;
  • and also Dr. Najat Ahmed Mohamed, Dean of Libraries, who was honored for her highly appreciated effort in maintaining the university's digital repository.

His excellency Prof. Awad Saad Hassan, addressed the honor, congratulating the honorees and appreciating their great roles in advancing the university’s scientific, academic and research career path. "We are proud of the Kandakes of Sudan University for their revolutionary and knowlege and persistence at various levels, especially in scientific research and social fields that contribute to the development of the university in particular and Sudan in general," he commented.


Prof Caroline Edward Ayyad, Secretary of Scientific Affairs, expressed her happiness at honoring the pioneers and scientists of the university for their excellence in their fields of expertise, and added that they are requested to do more to maintain the lead and uniqueness. The honorees were given shields and certificates of appreciation, and all attendees interacted cheerfully.
