Prof. Nimir O. Elbashir gave a lecture for Sudan University of Science and Technology (SUST) on the challenges of developing scientific research in Sudan and solutions. The lecture was organized by the Deanship of Scientific Research at the university in cooperation with the College of Petroleum Engineering and Technology.

Prof. Elbashir explained that one of the most important challenges of scientific research must be concerned with sharing the publication of Sudanese researchers with their foreign counterparts in addition to the volume of scientific research and its global reputation, with the need to investigate the scientific research and the research activities of the institution and its good reputation.

He stressed on the importance of universities websites for the role they play in reflecting the great activities and achievements of them, which help in ranking universities in their global rankings and developing scientific research.
