Prof. Eisa Bashier Mohamed, Vice Chancellor of Sudan University of Science and Technology (SUST), received in his office at the University headquarters in Al-Mugran the delegation of the Ethiopian University of Bahir Dar, headed by Dr. Tesfaye Kebede, Vice President of Bahir Dar University, accompanied by a delegation from the University of Gezira.
The meeting with the delegation was attended by Dr. Rawia Adam Abbakar, Dean of the College of Engineering and Technology of Industries, Dr. Ramadan Mohamed Ahmed, Acting Head of the Textile Engineering Department, Dr. Huda Osman Abduallah, Director of Public Relations and Media, and Dr. Maryam Abbas, Director of the External Relations.
Prof. Bashir welcomed the delegation's visit to Sudan University, pointing to the importance of renewing the memorandum of understanding with Bahir Dar University, which had expired to open channels of communication and enhance aspects of cooperation between the two universities in various disciplines, especially engineering and industrial, and in the areas of exchanging professors and conducting joint research and training.
Dr. Kebede, Vice President of Bahir Dar University, expressed his happiness and serious desire to cooperate with the University of Sudan, which has a long and long history, and to include qualified professors and qualified experts and its good reputation in the research and academic fields as well as training. It contains good and satisfactory outputs for both parties, and His Eminence gave a brief presentation to Bahir Dar University.
Dr. Rawia Adam Abbakar presented a brief profile of the College of Engineering and Technology of Industries and welcomed the partnership with Bahir Dar University.
The two sides agreed to communicate to study and renew the terms of the memorandum of understanding, and to accommodate the implementation of multiple programs that extend to different fields.
A presentation was made by Dr. Mariam Abbas, Director of External Relations, demonstrating SUST's different faculties and their presence in ten campus locations in the state of Khartoum, as well as the university's progress and development.
