In a democratic atmosphere, the electoral meeting sessions for the position of dean were chaired by Prof. Eisa Bashir Mohamed Eltayeb, vice chancellor of Sudan University of Science and Technology, in the presence of Prof. Abdul-Azim Suleiman Al-Mahal, deputy vice chancellor of the University, and Dr. Naji Osman Mohamed, the executive manager of the vice chancellor’s Office. The election sessions were held for the college of education and the Institute of Islamic Science and Research.
With complete transparency, five staff members were nominated, and three of the candidates were agreed upon and got the highest votes, whose names will be relayed to the vice chancellor, and thus one of them will be chosen as Dean of the College according to their curriculum vitae.
It is worth noting that all the academic PhD-holding staff of the Institute of Islamic Science and Research have agreed to choose Dr. Al-Wasila Al-Sir Karrar Al-Sheikh as dean of the institute. Accordingly, the vice chancellor issued a decision appointing him as dean of the institute.
