Prof. Eisa Bashier Mohamad, vice chancellor of Sudan University of Science and Technology, received at his office in the main campus, His Excellency Prof. Jabr Mohamed Al-Kawli, Cultural Counselor of the Embassy of the Republic of Yemen in Khartoum, and his accompanying delegation. From SUST's side, the meeting included Prof Abdel-Azim Sulaiman Al-Mahal, deputy vice chancellor of SUST and a number of deans of the faculties.
Prof. Bashier welcomed the delegation, emphasizing the eternal and historical relations between Sudan and Yemen. The meeting discussed the situation of Yemeni students at Sudan University in light of the conditions and circumstances of the Covid19 pandemic and others that led to their delay. "Yemeni students are considered among the most distinguished students at the university", Prof. Bashier added.
The meeting also discussed the possibility of making agreements between Sudan University and Yemeni universities to exchange students and professors, conduct joint research, and meet the needs of Yemeni universities, especially in scientific disciplines. For Sudanese universities, including the University of Sudan soon.
Furthermore, Prof. Bashier expressed that they are looking forward for the visit of the directors of Yemeni universities and expressed his readiness to make agreements that are in the interest of the educational process in Yemeni universities.
It is mention worthy that at the beginning of the meeting, Director of External Relations, gave a detailed presentation that included the stages of the university's development and its inclusion of more than 70,000 students and 25 colleges in various disciplines.
