
SPE is always present and ready
to lend a helping hand in everything related to the College of Petroleum and
Mining.
It continuously strives to
develop and support student initiatives and actively participate in their
growth and in the advancement of the university.
The SPE SUST Student Chapter had
a strong presence during the conclusion of the first phase and the launch of
the second phase of the initiative:
United_for_the_Rehabilitation_of_the_College_of_Petroleum_and_Mining
The event was honored by the
presence of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof.
Ahmed Mudawi Musa, President of Sudan University, Prof. Issa Bashir Mohammed,
Vice President, Prof. Abdul Azim Al-Mahal, President of Al-Geneina University,
Prof. Al-Tayeb Ali Ahmed, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Abdul
Aziz, and Dr. Niazi, representing the Faculty of Architecture and Planning.
Also in attendance was Mohamed
Al-Amin, SPE representative and Programs Manager, who has been involved since
the very beginning of the initiative, reaffirming SPE’s commitment to
supporting student and community initiatives and contributing to the development
of the college and the university. This initiative was supported and closely
supervised by the Dean, Dr. Ahmed Abdul Aziz.
During the visit, Eng. Mahmoud
Al-Tijani Saeed – the founder of the initiative – delivered a speech outlining
the objectives of the first phase and the achievements made in terms of
cleaning and initial rehabilitation. He also announced the start of the second
phase, which focuses on completing reconstruction and creating a well-prepared
academic environment.
The participation of the SPE SUST Student Chapter in this historic event reflects its mission to build students’ capacities, instill leadership values, and promote social responsibility, confirming that students of the College of Petroleum and Mining are always at the forefront in supporting the university and serving the nation.
