With the appreciated efforts of Prof. Awad Saad Hassan, vice chancellor of the university, Dr. Sana Abdul Karim Muhammad, Director of the Medical Services Department, and Prof. Amal Bakhit, Dean of Deadship of Scientific Research at the university,  the Oxford Astrazeneca vaccine was obtained and provided for university staff.

Starting from Tuesday 30th of March, vaccination for all university employees, with priority for those over the age of 45 years and those with chronic diseases. The campaign was launched by Prof. Awad Saad Hassan, vice chancellor of the university, and Prof. Mahdi Abbas Shkak, deputy vice chancellor of the university, who were the first recipients of the doses.

Note that vaccination will continue in the medical unit in the Main Campus for the coming days
