The CERT ECHO learners, senior\nengineering students, will join in a virtual community of practice held by the global team from\nPEACE Engineering.\n<\/span><\/span><br><\/p>\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"line-height:1.5;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">\nThe first series is focused on Waste Management, as uncollected waste\nposes a significant problem for communities in Sudan. Curriculum and content have already\nbeen developed. From this ECHO, students will be equipped to develop their senior projects\nand launch entrepreneurial activities for the creation of jobs. As part of the CERT, these\nstudents will go out to the community and work together to bring their projects to life for\nsocioeconomic development and community service.\n<\/span><\/span><br><\/p>\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"line-height:1.5;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">\nThis work is partially supported by the\nSustainable Development and Response Organization (<a href=\"\/ar\/www.sudro.org\/\">www.sudro.org<\/a>). Faculty, staff, and\nstudents from the PEACE Engineering program at the University of New Mexico School of\nEngineering, as well as Peace Engineering Consortium members, are close collaborators.
