Vice-chancellor of the University Accompanies the Saudi Cultural Attaché on a Visit to a Number of Colleges

His Excellency Mr. Abdullah bin Qassim Al-Hashimi

His Excellency Mr. Abdullah bin Qassim Al-Hashimi, the cultural attaché of the embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Sudan, affirmed that Sudan University of Science and Technology demonstrates an outstanding level and great potential through the qualifications of its faculty members and also through the expertise available to it, in addition to the passion of the Sudanese individual, which makes him face all challenges and circumstances beyond his control with strong personality and high spirit, which generates the positive force enjoyed by the Sudanese men and women.

His Excellency also added that he visited today the colleges of agricultural studies, engineering and technology of industries, veterinary medicine, and animal production science and technology. His excellency explained that this is the second visit to the university colleges preceded by a first visit with a delegation of the Undersecretary Education for international cooperation in the Kingdom for engineering colleges and medical colleges.

Also, His Excellency described that what he witnessed today is heartening and brings pride and pride to him and surpasses what he has seen in universities in Europe. Sudan University of Science and Technology With its great capabilities and professors, we aspire to be at the forefront of Arab, Islamic and international universities, with the interest, will, and support of its employees and its continuous development.

Furthermore, His Excellency described that what he witnessed today is heartening and outstanding. He also praised the Sudanese student, describing him as exemplary for his distinction and his strength and behavioral ethics that qualify him to serve his homeland Sudan and the Arab and Islamic countries. He also added that Sudan University of Science and Technology has great potentials and its professors aspire to be at the forefront of Arab and Islamic universities, as well as international ones.

His Excellency Prof. Awad Saad Hassan

Prof Awad Saad Hassan, vice-chancellor of Sudan University of Science and Technology, emphasized the depth of relations with the sister Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and added that the development of the university is due to the Sudanese individual and his/her continuous desire to achieve the best and most ideal, explaining that the staff of Sudan University of Science and Technology is behind the development the university is witnessing.

He also added that the university has made it at the forefront locally, developed regionally and globally advanced according to the latest international rankings, praising in this regard a number of Saudi universities that have achieved advanced positions in international rankings, adding that Sudan University’s cooperation with it gives it an opportunity for further development, especially since Sudan University of Science and Technology seeks global achievements.

Visit Program

The schedule included the visit of the cultural attaché of the Kingdom’s embassy in Sudan and the accompanying delegation to the colleges of agricultural studies, engineering and technology of industries, veterinary medicine, science and technology of animal production, accompanied by the vice chancellor, Prof. ‪Mahdi Abbas Saad Shakak, Deputy Vice Chancellor of the university, Dr. Mariam Abbas Ibrahim Abdelghafour, head of External Relations, and Dr. Huda Osman Abdallah, head of Public Relations and Media, and Dr. Tayseer Al-Amin, representative of the Deanship of Scientific Research.

The vists aim to identify the capabilities of the colleges in terms of manpower, professors, experts, the laboratories they contain and the real projects they offer to serve the community that contribute to the renaissance of Sudan and help the people of Sudan for the purpose of concluding agreements, actual partnerships and scientific cooperation with Saudi universities. With the deans and professors of the colleges included in the visit, a presentation was made in each of the colleges that includes its inception and development, the departments it contains, its technical and human capabilities, and the projects that it participates in implementing at the level of Sudan, especially in the agricultural field, because Sudan is rich in resources that enable it to achieve sufficiency locally, regionally and globally only by exchanging Benefits to fill the shortfall and the gap and in cooperation to bring about the optimal exploitation of resources.

At the end of the visit, the vice chancellor thanked His Excellency the Cultural Attaché and his accompanying delegation for visiting the university and invited them to future visits.
