With great sadness and sorrow, Prof Awad Saad Hassan, vice chancellor of Sudan University of Science and Technology, and all university employees, express their condemn for the traumatic events of the University of Zalingei, that ocurred during the working hours on 31 August 2021, which resulted on the loss of the student Ezz Eldin Omar Musa and a lot of wounded.
Sudan University appeals and demands the responsible authorities for a just investigation that deters those involved and the perpetrators.
The university denounces violent acts against students, when they use their legitimate rights to express their opinions in light of the freedom and democracy brought to them by the glorious December revolution.
We extend our heartfelt sympathy and prayers to the family of the student Ezz Eldin Omar Musa. May Allah accept him with his immense mercifulness and grant him the highest rank in paradise. Please keep him and his family in your prayers as they go through this difficult time.
