Prof. Awad Saad Hassan, vice chancellor of the university, received in his office at the main campus the delegation of the National Student Welfare Fund, represented by Prof Ahmed Albashir Mohamed Hassan, Secretary-General of the Fund, accompanied by Dr. Kamal Sayed Ahmed Bobi, Secretary-General of the Student Welfare Fund in Khartoum State and Prof Masaad Alsadiq Alnaille, Executive Manager of the Office of the Secretary-General.

From the university side, the meeting included Prof. Mahdi Abbas Shakak, deputy vice chancellor of the university, Dr. Alfateh Ahmed Hassan, principal of the university, Dr. Yasin M. Hamdan, deputy principal of the university, Dr. Maha Fadl, Dean of Student Affairs, and Dr. Suleiman Ahmed Babiker, deputy dean of Student Affairs and finally, Dr. Gamar Aldawla Hussain, executive manager of the vice chancellor's office.

The meeting targeted the issue of reclaiming management control of the university students' accommodation facilities. The vice chancellor stressed on the need to restore management control of students' accommodation and promised to address the fund through the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research. Therefore, he directed the fund not to distribute students in the university students' accommodation, and concluded the meeting thanking the delegation and appreciating their cooperation.
