A Workshop on Government Procurement and Disposal of Surplus Property
Sudan University of Science and Technology in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning organized a scientific and administrative workshop on government procurement and disposal of surplus property under the auspices of the vice-chancellor, Professor Rashid Ahmad Mohammad Hussein. The workshop was carried out by the General Administration of Procurement, Contracting, and Disposal of the Surplus Property at the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning. The workshop was attended by deputy vice-chancellor, Professor Mahir Salih, deans of various colleges and heads of administrations at SUST.
Professor Rashid Ahmad Muhammad said that such workshops have utmost importance in the process of activating the laws of the General Administration of Procurements and Contracting due to its presence in all relevant committees in various governmental administrations, saying that SUST is a pioneer in the capacity building of its employees in various fields. He stressed on the importance of activating the process of circulating certifications and contracts, and making them known to the departments because they are in need of them, especially in the area of procurement, contracting and disposal of surplus property. Finally, he asked all attendees to take advantage of the valuable information presented in the workshop.
