The Vice-Chancellor Congratulates the Workers on Eid al-Adha
The vice-chancellor, Prof. Rashid Ahmed Mohammed Hussein, congratulated all the workers of the university on the occasion of Eid al-Adha. In a different context, he pointed to the achievements that have been accomplished through the programs that were announced before. One of the programs, as his Excellency said, is represented in upgrading the university environment, which included rehabilitation of laboratories and the halls, as well as qualifying teaching staff at the university until it became highly developed in the field of higher education, and he pointed to the role of Admission and Registration Deanship in carrying out all registration processes as to ease the burden on colleges. He revealed the completeness of administrative arrangements for the establishment of colleges of medicine, pharmacy and dentistry, which will start admission in 2017.
Professor Rashid mentioned that the university will establish a branch of SUST in Turkey as a first one of the Sudanese universities and it will teach SUST curriculum which will be taught by teachers from SUST as a result the brain drain will be reduced. He revealed the completion of arrangements for upgrading Aviation Department to a College of Aviation.
Prof. Rashid said that the scientific research, as one of the programs, receives great interest from the university as the most important characteristic of SUST, where many courses were organized in the scientific research for the teaching staff and the university introduced experts from Malaysia as part of scientific research and writing research projects to reach a highest level in this area.
Social responsibility is one of the programs that is being cared a lot by SUST and through which the university provided many social services to various segments of the society, such as family development programs which is implemented by UNESCO Chair in Women, Science and Technology at the Family Development Institute.
The vice-chancellor revealed the formation of a higher committee chaired by Professor Alhaj Attaalmannan in order to increase the financial resources of the university in order to improve conditions of service and stability of university workers.
