SUST Achieves Another  Major Breakthrough

The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), Sudan University of Science & Technology Branch, has occupied the 24th place in Petrobowl competition where 170 SPE student chapter from all around the world teams against each other in a fast-paced quiz competition.

The competing teams are challenged to answer both technical and non-technical questions associated with the oil and gas industry.

Successful students in this competition will be qualified to participate in the Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition (ATCE) which will be held in New Orleans (USA) during the month of September 2013.

It is worth mentioning that this contest has been conducted via the Internet, and only student chapters in good standing are eligible to compete. The number of competing chapters was thirty six (36), and six (6) from fourth and fifth year -students from Oil and Exploration Departments have participated in the competition.

On behalf of SUSTís staff and employees, HE Prof Hashim Ali Salem, the Vice-Chancellor is pleased to extend his cordial congratulations in his behalf, and on behalf of SUSTís people, to Oil and Exploration Departments and the participants for their outstanding performance thus far, wishing them best of luck in the competition which will take place at ATCE in New Orleans (USA).
