Sudan University of Science & Technology (SUST) Signs a Memorandum of Understanding with Sudacad Academy
As part of its mission to develop partnerships with various institutions to best serve the community and become a change leader to achieve its core objectives as well as to discharge its educational responsibilities efficiently, Sudan University of Science and Technology (SUST) signed, in the presence of a number of deans, a memorandum of understanding with Sudatel Telecommunications Academy (Sudacad) which sets out a framework for close co-operation between both parties.
HE the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Hashim Ali Salem signed the agreement on behalf of SUST, while the Deputy General Manager signed it on behalf of Sudacad.
The two parties have agreed to cooperate in fields of research and studies to adapt technology to local needs in Sudan. The two parties also stressed the need for cooperation in the field of training to raise the efficiency of employees. In this regard, Sudacad has made a commitment to train a number of SUST’s students and build their expertise to enable them to carry out their duties in an effective and constructive manner in future. The agreement also provided for deepening and expanding bilateral cooperation and maximizing their mutual benefits by allowing each party to use the laboratories of the other party to develop students’ abilities and qualifications. It was also agreed to arrange joint workshops, and hold joint seminars for mutual benefit and interest.
Pursuant to this agreement, the Academy has indicated its willingness to offer scholarships for outstanding students in SUST to be enrolled in training courses organized by Sudacad.
