HE the Vice-Chancellor of Sudan University of Science & Technology Meets the Secretary General, Association of Arab Universities
HE the Vice-Chancellor of Sudan University of Science & Technology, Prof. Dr. Hashim Ali Salim met in his office with Professor Sultan Abu-Orabi, the Secretary General of the Association of Arab Universities accompanied by Professor Imad Al-Deen Aradaib, Director of Foreign Affairs at the Association.
The meeting discussed various cooperation aspects and the support the Association can provide to SUST.
The Secretary General of the Association of Arab Universities said that the association is composed of nearly 21 scientific societies which bodies include college deans from different countries, “Those societies can play a major role in the exchange of professors and students between the 260 member universities,” said Professor Imad Al-Deen.
“The Association issues 17 refereed journals which are considered research vessels for professors. Also it includes the Arab Council for Training Arab University Students in addition to a fund to finance scientific research,” he added.
At the end of the meeting, Professor Imad Al-Deen emphasized the need for linking the Association with Arab Universities that are members in it by modern electronic means to ensure effective continuous communication between them.
The meeting was attended by a number of college deans at SUST.
