HE the Vice-Chancellor of Sudan University of Science and Technology, Professor Hashim Ali Salem paid a visit to the Medical Military Hospital where soldiers wounded in combat that took place in South Kordofan are hospitalized. Prof. Hashim expressed greatest happiness and pride to visit them, “We came here today to convey our deep appreciation to those brave and valiant individuals who have the sense of duty, the measure of courage and the determination of heart to protect their country, maintain its security and stability and restore peace in the area of South Kordofan,” he said, “In fact you deserve much more than that because you have made immense sacrifices in the line of duty, given your lives in the defense of our great nation to protect life and property in those areas of insurgency in that dear part of Sudan, thus you greatly contributed to our countrys sovereignty. This victory did not come cheap, it entailed great sacrifice and painstaking work, and has been achieved with the help of God and your patriotism and devotion to this nation. Indeed, you have written your names in the glorious pages of the history of our beloved country,” he added.

Upon his arrival with his companions, Prof Hashim was received by leaders of the Military and Medical Services under command of General Abdullah Omar representative of the Commander in Chief of the Army Medical Corps.

The Delegation toured the wards to reassure health conditions of the victims, provided them with moral and material support and commended the great attention and close medical care given to battles casualties by both, the State and the Medical Service Officials.

The visit was highly appreciated by the wounded warriors, the Military Medical Forces and the Peoples Armed Forces who praised the active role being played by Sudan University of Science and Technology to serve the society and its exceptionally meritorious and distinguished services offered to community at large in all occasions.
