SUST wins the kenana Soil Survey and Conservation
Following its winning of a competition throng study presented for survey conservation of soil in kenana Area , SUST has signed a contract with the Dama Execution Unit (DEU) at the presidency. Dr. Usama Alryas has signed on behalf of the university , while director of the Finance General Administration , Mutaz Musa Abdallah has signed on behalf of ( DEU) ,who expressed his happiness regarding opening the doors of cooperation with hoping that this cooperation should continue in the framework of the strategic objectives of (DEU ) in cooperation with the national institutions.
On the other hand ,Dr. Alrays explained that the study includes four sites in kenana and Alahad in an area of 700,000 fedans. He also emphaised that the university will execute the work within a period not exceeding four months by employing 100 experts in fields of agriculture , computer and engineering . He added that the project comes within the university mission to render service to the community further , he indicated that the university has a laboratory which contains modern apparatuses to investigate soil characteristics and he declared that the laboratory is even open for small –scale farmers to avoid the agriculture risk and to guarantee good production .
Its noteworthy , the study presented by the university is compatible with the international standard and criteria. The signing ceremony was attended the deputy vice- chancellor, the deputy principle in addition to a number of the university staff.
